The Martta Hotel is a modern nice venue with a slanted glass facade situated in the centre of Helsinki, in a quiet residential area, one kilometre from the Senate Square and market. Helsinki Vanta Airport is 32 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes. The cozy little hotel is a former property of a women's organization (formerly a radical feminist group that supported Finland's educational advancement and was opposed by the tsarist government). The hotel was built in the late 1950s on land bequeathed by a wealthy donor.
The Martta Hotel is strictly functional but comfortable and equipped with all modern amenities of a European-class hotel. Despite its central location most rooms the guests will rest in peaceful atmosphere as the windows face a quiet inner courtyard with free parking. There are 44 rooms on four floors of the hotel features decorated in light pastel shades with wooden floors and modern light wood furnishings, all of which include a set of necessary equipment.
Health facilities of the hotel include the traditional Finnish sauna. At lunchtime the guests are welcome to enjoy their lunch in the light and airy restaurant and sample traditional homemade Finnish dishes buffet style.
